Missions Updater Letter February
Dear Pastor and Prayer Partners
It has been two months since we have been here in Zacatecas. It has been so wonderful. Since we have been her here, we have passed out hundreds of tracks and I have had the opportunity to preach a few times. The last time I preachedwe were up in the village of Tacoaleche. The small church building was full and many were on their knees during the alter call. After church we got to bring a lady and her children home. It is amazing to me to see how many people live here, and yet they are so happy. I know why they are happy, it is because they have the joy of the Lord within their hearts. Please continue to pray many more souls will come to know the Lord.
While here we got to visit the Tiangis. Many of you may be wondering what that is. A Tinges is like an outdoor market and flea market combined. They have everything there from fresh fruits and veggies, to knock off shoes and cloths, to any kind of tool you would want. It was a very fun experience. Stephanie said this is probable where she will come to get all of our fruits and vegetables.
Road Trip!!
While we were here we got to have a great surprise…a visit from Stephanie’s Dad. Stephanie’s Dad works for a company and sometimes has to fly to different parts of the world for business. Great news to us he got to make a trip to Mexico and was only a short trip from where we are in Zacatecas. We were able to see him and spend a evening with him. It was a great blessing to see him. We are so thankful to have a great Christian family back home supporting us and praying for us. We love them dearly.
We also are/currently trying to make one more trip, while we are here. We want to visit another missionary. The town he lives in is called Irepuato. It is about a five hour trip. We left this morning (Tuesday the 9th) and made it about twenty minutes out and then we hit a Mexican size pothole. It was huge! When we hit it we were going about sixty-five miles an hour. Needless to say when you hit a pothole that big that fast it is not good. Both of our rims on the right side got bent. We went all over town trying to find someone to fix them and everyone just wanted sell us new ones. Finally the last place we tried the man took a look as it said easy…ten minutes later we were headed back home with perfectly good rims. God truly is good! On top of that God placed it on a Pastors heart and Maranatha Baptist Church of Covington Indiana to pay for everything. We are so grateful!
We have the rest of this month to be here. We have many Churches lined up to speak at. We are still praying we will be at 100% by July. We know it can happen with your prayers. Thank you and may God bless you all.
Unto the furtherance of the Gospel,
Trent and Stephanie Granger
